This is Bandit's Story

Bandit came to live in our home at the tender age of 9 years, he had been living with the same family since he was 6 weeks old, and for, whatever reason, Bandit turned up at the re-homing centre in West Calder run by Dog Trust.

My wife was asked by a friend to go and have a look at Bandit to help check out his temperament and possibly assist with his re-homing. I went along with her, and we met Bandit for the first time. He was not a happy bunny, and had discovered very quickly, that if he barked and made a fuss, the carers would give him a biscuit to get him in out of the way. This gave everyone the impression that he was anti social and aggressive.

We visited Bandit a couple of times, took him out for walks, and got to know him a little, Janet fell hook, line and sinker for him. So, we adopted Bandit. He came to live in our house, and after a few weeks the bond between him and Janet grew very strong, the dog adored her, and she put a lot of work into making him a happier and more sociable dog.

Bandit lived with us for what time he had left, almost 4 years. When Janet decided to take Bandit she said it was her chance to give something back to a breed that had given her so much. What he left behind when he died was memories of days filled with Joy, Laughter ( he was a funny old guy) and LOVE. He gave all this back.

Janet says he is always with her, and I am sure Bandit is watching over us now.

This is Jasper

Jasper is a Tan & White collie cross who lives at Dog Trust in West Calder, he is 8 years old, and has lived at the centre since he was found as a stray when he was about 13 months old. He loves the daily routine at the centre, and enjoys playing with his carers, but he is very unhappy with things that are not familiar to him. Jasper will live out his life in the surroundings he has become happy with, we will go and visit him, hopefully be able to play with him, and Dog Trust will continue to provide him with the care he needs.

I WILL KEEP YOU UPDATED ON JASPERS PROGRESS

Lass

Oct 1989 - March 2005

Lass came to live with us because my daughter saved her from certain death at the age of 4 weeks, all because she was not the pedigree the breeder had expected her to be. Not a Springer Spaniel, but a little cross breed.

We loved her, she had a wonderful, happy and fulfilled life, living alongside her Rottweiler companions.

It broke our hearts to loose her, only 4 weeks after her constant companion and friend Cleo.

She just could not live without you Cleo, now both of you are united again. with your old friends Bandit and Bruno

HAPPY HUNTING ALL OF YOU
